Bio

Bastien is originally from Laon, France where he earned his Physical Education Teacher degree before moving to the US to study and play soccer at Davis & Elkins College (NCAA DII).  Bastien was extremely successful as a player at D&E, earning all conference and all region awards and leading one of the top teams in NCAA Division II during his time with the Senators.

Bastien moved to Seattle where we worked in a variety of roles with Washington State Youth Soccer Association, eventually directing the State Cup program.

Before joining The St. James Football Club, Bastien previously served as Director of Coaching for Seattle United where he also served as a ECNL National League coach.  Bastien’s ECNL teams were some of the highest performing in the country and he has the designation of having every ECNL team that he has coached, make the ECNL playoffs.  His 2008B team fell just short in their ECNL National Championship bid, dropping the national final in a tightly contested match.

Bastien, his wife and son will be settling into the DMV this summer.
