The St. James FC Virginia offers one of the most robust travel preparatory programs in the DMV. The program is designed to not only improve players individual technical ability, confidence with the ball and help instill passion for the game but our progressive game play model supports the players understanding of the game in advance of travel soccer. Our game model progresses from 4v4 to 5v5 (with GK's) and into 6v6 and 7v7 soccer ahead of travel soccer tryouts.
Additionally, our Pre-Travel Academy participates in a number of local tournaments and players can even have the opportunity to 'play up' in the U9 Travel Soccer League.
Though the program is curriculum based, TSJFCV takes an individualized approach to player development to ensure that all of our players have an appropriate environment for growth
Consistent with our site-based model from our recreational soccer program, the TSJFCV Pre-Travel program is also available in 6 different locations (Ashburn, Brambleton, Lovettsville, Chantilly, Fairfax & Springfield). All locations are managed and coached by our professional coaching staff.

U7 ACADEMY PROGRAM
The U7 Academy is the entry level program within our new player development pathway which gives players the opportunity to begin working with The St. James FC professional coaching staff in a supplemental training environment while also allowing players the opportunity to play recreational soccer with their friends! Please note that there is NO game play for the U7 Academy program. We highly recommend signing up for the U6 or U8 Recreational Soccer League (click here for information)
The U7 Academy is a supplemental training program that is offered year-round and introduces players to structured technical and small group training but is designed specifically to develop the individual players skills and comfort level with the ball.

U8 Academy Program
The U8 Academy program is a premier program offered by The St. James FC. This program provides players the technical and game play needs to be prepared for 7v7/ travel soccer.
Participation in the U8 Academy is by invitation only and requires an evaluation session or a coach/ technical staff recommendation.
The benefit of this structure is that it allows us to provide programming geographically for ease of travel, it also provides us "in-house" competitive games to supplement outside crossover games and it provides a larger player pool for the creation of our future U9 Travel teams.
This program is a curriculum based, year round program that provides a progressive play format where the players will navigate from 4v4 to 7v7 and the incorporation of goalkeepers into the game play model.
