WELCOME TO THE ST. JAMES FC RECREATIONAL SOCCER PROGRAM
The St. James FC (TSJFC) is happy to offer one of the best recreational soccer experiences in Northern Virginia. We offer program options for players 2-16 years of age across a number of different locations throughout Loudoun & Fairfax County. Accessibility and convenience are crucially important to us because we know that it is to you!
TSJFC offers 2 Recreational Programming Options:
Discover Soccer: This is our beginning level program for our youngest players. This program is broken into 2 levels. Discover 1 is for players 2-3 years of age and Discover 2 is for players 4-5 years of age. This program meets once per week for 30-45 minutes and consists of fun games and activities that not only introduce the players to the game of soccer but also include motor skill development and socialization skills.
Recreational Soccer League: This program is your "traditional" soccer program with established teams and volunteer coaches. Teams will practice once per week with one game on Saturdays. TSJFC offers this program Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer!
Recreational PLUS Program: The Rec PLUS program provides the traditional recreational league experience for the players but with the additional value of having an additional training session or expanded training to included focused technical training with our professional coaching staff. This is a recreational program for players looking for a little bit more focused coaching on skill development.
The TSJFC Difference: The St. James FC is set up by specific locations to provide a high level of convenience in your soccer experience. We understand that families don't want to travel long distances to receive their recreational soccer experiences so we are happy to provide 8 different locations to choose from (and counting)!
TSJFC also utilizes Recreational Site Coordinators for each of our locations. Their role is to serve as a direct connection for our members back to the club, support our volunteer coaches and provide operational support for our Soccer Saturdays. These individuals are a fantastic resource for our members and can provide easy access to information about other programs within the club as well as our player development pathway
General Recreational inquiries can be directed to: recsoccer@thestjames.com
Volunteers: TSJFC utilizes volunteer coaches and support staff to service our Recreational League programs. Volunteers receive a number of "perks" including FREE registrations for their players, coaching gear among other benefits! Our staff will work with volunteers to select training days/ times that work best for your schedule as well as providing on and off the field coaching support, weekly practice plans, etc to make volunteering as easy as possible!

Rec PLUS
The Rec PLUS program is the entry level program within our new player development pathway which gives players the opportunity to begin working with The St. James FC professional coaching staff in a supplemental training environment while also allowing players the opportunity to play recreational soccer with their friends! We highly recommend signing up for the U6 or U8 Recreational Soccer League.
The Rec PLUS program is a supplemental training program that is offered year-round and introduces players to structured technical and small group training but is designed specifically to develop the individual players skills and comfort level with the ball.

U8 Pre-Travel Academy
U8 Academy Program
The U8 Academy program is a premier program offered by The St. James FC. This program provides players the technical and game play needs to be prepared for 7v7/ travel soccer.
Participation in the U8 Academy is by invitation only and requires an evaluation session or a coach/ technical staff recommendation.
The benefit of this structure is that it allows us to provide programming geographically for ease of travel, it also provides us "in-house" competitive games to supplement outside crossover games and it provides a larger player pool for the creation of our future U9 Travel teams.
This program is a curriculum based, year round program that provides a progressive play format where the players will navigate from 4v4 to 7v7 and the incorporation of goalkeepers into the game play model.
